My Maps location: Import - Export Locations

My Maps location got an Import - Export - Automatic Synchronization tool for location from a .csv or .kml file (Google Earth file). Click on the menu My Maps Location > Import/Export to get access to the interface.

1. CSV Import

Firstly, it's the CSV Import section, select your .csv file form your PC and click "Run Import Now" button to start the import process.

There are 2 options here:

  • Update existing data + Insert new data: Import the CSV data and update if similar entry is found
  • Insert data only: Insert only the data and does not update them if existing

2. CSV Automatic synchronization

Secondly, it's CSV Automatic synchronization, select your .csv file and select a frequency and activate the automatic synchronization.
The synchronization process will Import the CSV data and update if similar entry is found, automatically

To do so, upload a CSV file at root of your Joomla media library.

Then from here you can select the file below and click on "Launch synchronization" button.

To run import command add following command in cron job php cli/joomla.php mymaplocations:import

3. KML Import

Next is KML Import section, select your .kml file from your PC and click "Run KML Import" button to start the import process.

We support .kml files from Google Earth and OpenStreetMap.

4. Data Export & Maintenance

Finally, here you can export your existing data as .csv and .kml files or fix all empty data in geolocation coordinates, empty language in 3rd party extension like Hikamarket or Community Builder.
