Show private file in page but block download or view

Hi,

I'd like to show the files that are in a category that is set as private but do not let the users download or view the file (even better add a lock icon and when I click on it, it would ask to log in), I thought about doing this by modify an action, but I can't seem to figure out which one to use, I thought it would be this one:

wpfd_{$themeName}_file_block

but I can't seem to figure out how to call it in functions.php (especially get the correct parameters in the do.
