In addition to likes and comments, we are missing the following features:

1. Video upload from server and locally. Not youtube etc..

2. The configuration of the user rights as they are with dropfiles and dropeditor.

3. Frontend editing in the dropeditor for Doppics: Under "Publish" can each user set access for the group?? This is another problem that makes the frontend use unusable for users. Anyone can see all user groups on the website. The "Publish" tab is probably a Joomla integration. Support didn't offer a solution here, even though easydiscuss, for example, doesn't have this tab in the editor either?! It was solved differently! Otherwise, the idea with the dropeditor is simple and well done!

4. In the backend it should be possible to set groups and/or individual user rights for each gallery/category like the Phoca gallery, which unfortunately does not yet have a video upload.

5. It would be desirable to have even less dependence on the contributions (see point 3) from Joomla when it comes to central settings in the configuration. Each setting then applies to all posts regardless of the gallery.

Unfortunately, we can't currently use the gallery with droppics, even though we bought it.

That's why Phoca remains with us for now and we continue to test JoomMedia. JoomMedia have the Problem with the Server. You need a lot of Software for the server.

JoomMedia still has a problem with image processing. You need Ffmpeg and a lot more for processing on the server. Shared servers don't have that. ImageMagick alone is not enough. There still needs to be an alternative solution.
Every gallery still has its weaknesses. The question is, who ultimately has an all-in-one solution?
