Hello, hope yiou are well, I thought to be clever to use a template table in my template for certain pages. I would like to be able to use standard template table in my articles AND people to be able to fill the for our Herbarium. Perhaps an idea so we can have standard table and only have one for all our many pages. So in tthis example, see attached. We like to enter data in sich table in Admin
and save content. Let me know if feasible.

Thanks

Hi,

Thanks for contacting us here about this extension.

We don't see any attached files in your message. Could you please resend them so we can better understand what you're trying to achieve with your template table?
Once we can see your example, we'll be able to provide more specific guidance about implementing this for your Herbarium.

Hi,

Thanks for sharing your example file!

Based on what you're trying to achieve, you can absolutely create template tables using our Droptables extension and implement your workflow for the Herbarium.

Here's a solution that should work well for you:
First, create your standard template table in Droptables with all the desired formatting and structure.
Then, whenever someone needs to use this template, they can use the Copy feature to duplicate the template table.
After duplicating, each user can input their specific herbarium data into their copy and simply rename the table title to identify their particular entry.

This approach gives you the consistency of a standard template while allowing individual data entry that's saved with each article.
Would you like me to provide more specific steps on setting this up for your team?

Ther is an issue with mail. getting mailbox not found. Strange.
Any how, yes that is a solution but would clutter up table in Admiin So the solution we have in mind is as follows.
1. Copy template into Article in Admin.
2. Be able to enter info in this template.
3. Store with Article and not in DropTables.

Hope this can work.

Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me with more information.

I'm sorry to hear about the mailbox issue.
Regarding your proposed workflow, unfortunately what you've described isn't currently supported within our Droptables functionality.
The system isn't designed to handle templates being copied into articles and storing that information without using the Droptables structure.

Cheers,
