Being able to select a range of dates by typing them

It would be very interesting if you could write the date in the search fields by date. It would also be nice if you could go back a year directly, since in our case we use the plugin as a newspaper library and users sometimes have to make an important jump years back. It is a hassle to have to go month by month until you reach the corresponding year.
