Yes, you can upload CSV files to Dropfiles, but they are not currently supported in preview mode.
For better preview functionality on the frontend, it's recommended to use .xls or .xlsx file formats.

I'm not entirely certain about two distinct access levels, but you can assign two or more roles to view a specific category.
Currently, we do not have a feature for verification; users must log in to access the file category.
If they lack the necessary permissions, they will see a blank page.

Additionally, you can set passwords for categories or files using WP File Download.
