Hello,

I've done a relaunch of the website of a colleague and now I'm facing a problem. I don't know why this happens and unfortunately I can't reproduce it.

I've set-up the website in a subfolder with Dropfiles and there it's working fine without any problems.
When I'm connecting Dropfiles with Dropbox/Google Drive on the live-site, I'll get a 404 after hitting the Download button on the frontpage.
The settings are the same like on the test-environment.

When I deactivate the SEO urls and url rewrite, the download will work without any problems.

The same error occurs when I'm uploading a file directly with Dropfiles in the backend.

System configuration:
- Joomla 3.9.2
- Dropfiles 5.0.8

Unfortunately the subscription ended weeks ago and he won't renew it because it's working besides this little error.

Hopefully someone can help!

Best regards

Hi,

Thanks for contacting us here about this extension.

I'm sorry, it is not easy to fix your issues without admin access.
You should drop us a ticket support, our dev can take a look at that and fix for you easier.

Thanks a lot!

I found that Docx files gave a 404 error if try to download only if you have older version of htaccess file - see the FAQs for dropfiles
Pdf files were fine.

Remove the line below from your htaccess file :

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_URI} /component/|(/[^.]*|\.(php|html?|feed|pdf|vcf|raw))$ [NC]
