Hello there,

I have a Joomla 3.9 website using Docman 3.5.1.
There almost 1000 documents in around 100 categories and sub-categories.

In order to make a Joomla update (from 3 to 5), I would like to ask this :

  • How is possible to make a migration from Docman (Joomla 3) to Drop Files (Joomla 5) ?
  • Is there a special support for this kind of migration ?
I would like to keep, names, dates, weight (size) and categories (and subcat) dependence.
Is there a refund policy in cas test does'n work?

Thank you

Hi,

Thanks for contacting us here about this extension.

Dropfiles is compatible with Joomla 3.x, allowing you to import data from Docman into Dropfiles using Joomla 3.
During the import process, the category structure and files from Docman will be preserved, while the weight and names will remain unchanged.
However, the original dates will be replaced with the date of import.

Is there a refund policy in cas test does'n work?

Yes, please go here for more information about refund policy:

Thank you for your reply.
Is that means that DropFiles is not compatible with J5 ?

Hi,

Thanks for getting back to me with more information.

No, it works fine on Joomla 5. I mean, if you're using Joomla 3, where you can import Docman,
you can then upgrade your site to Joomla 5.

Please kindly check our changelog:
